William Lieurance has worked in tech professionally for 20 years and in the amateur leagues for years before that. He started as a developer but soon realized he was having more fun keeping servers working than building websites. Since then he's done operations-as-a-job-title for startups, enterprises, consultancies, manufacturing, public utilities, private finance, and the Postal Service. He lives in Chicago with his excellent cat, a supportive human partner, and her very average cats.

By day he does operations for an AI vision startup. At night he gives talks on the intersection of software development and operations, and does the startup thing: HomeBuyAI.com
